Collection, handling, preparation and
examination of tissue samples, body fluid, secretions and excretions, with
emphasis on the diagnostic characteristics of diseases and interpretation
of common findings; relationship of abnormal clinical laboratory data to
specific organ dysfunctions; diagnostic and prognostic value of pertinent
laboratory tests; correct sample collection techniques and interpretation of
results for common hematology and clinical chemistry assessments, urinalysis
and cytology; and necropsy techniques, to include interpretation of findings of
gross and histological examination of tissue specimens. Focus should be on
pathogenesis of the important diseases impacting the major animal species of
particular relevance to the Member Country.
